Grottescherie was founded in Milan in 2025, with the goal of rediscovering and sharing (more or less) hidden gems from the graphic arts of the early modern period. With a particular focus on ornamental compositions and grotesque subjects, we dig into artist publications from the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, selecting images to reinterpret through prints and handcrafted stationery products.
We currently offer a selection of prints, hand-bound notebooks and journals, bookmarks, stickers, cards and postcards. We are always working to expand our product catalogue and broaden the selection of prints and ornaments.
