Grottescherie is a visual research, graphic design and handmade stationery project based in Milan. Dedicated to ornament, the historical and the obscure, it brings together prints and illustrations sourced from books, catalogues and collections, carefully restored and reworked before being printed on high-quality, tactile, archival paper.

Alongside prints, we create handbound notebooks, bookmarks and other paper goods inspired by grotesque and decorative traditions. Together, prints and handmade objects form a collection of original, accessible pieces designed to be collected, gifted and used.
